Hooks Book Events dodged two snow storms to breeze in and out of the Windy City this week. The reason? We managed to get Judge Richard Posner and Professor Gary Becker in the same room at the Chicago HQ of the Securities and Exchange Commission. As you know, Posner and Becker have a very famous blog, http://uchicagolaw.typepad.com/beckerposner/ and are two cherished dare I say Rock Stars of American public intellectualism. Wearing sensible shoes and big smiles, the Judge and the Professor discussed a variety of topics from full body scans to Trans Fats.. yes they disagree on Trans Fats.. read the blog to find out why!
