Hooks Book Events and Politics and Prose were honored to host Greg Mortenson launching his new book, Stones Into Schools at the wonderful Sixth and I Synagogue in DC last week. Greg is truly an inspiration for many people including "Second Lady" Mrs. Biden and Tom Friedman who introduced Greg that evening. Mortenson and his amazing team of locals (including former Taliban fighters)have ventured into Afghanistan to build schools for girls.The book reads like an adventure novel;catch a great review in the New York Times December 10th.
